FEE SCHEDULE

Everyone participating in the TrueNorth Health Education Center's program must undergo an assessment and examination with one of our affiliated doctors at the time of or prior to participation. The fee for this assessment and examination is $175. Everyone who is undergoing a period of water-only fasting or juice fasting and all participants who are on any medications or who have complex medical conditions will also be billed a medical management fee of $75 by our affiliated doctors.  This medical management fee covers the cost of the doctors time involved in ordering and reviewing laboratory tests, meeting with and directing the staff and interns, reviewing daily chart notes, and conducting an exit interview.

Medical Management Charges:

The $175 fee for your initial assessment (and the additional $75  medical management fee) may be partially reimbursed to you by health insurance that allows you to select the doctor of your choice. For participants who have been examined by a medical doctor affiliated with TrueNorth Health in the previous 3 months, the fee for the initial examination will be reduced by $75.  We bill these medical management charges separately from our program charges so that those participants with health insurance coverage may receive appropriate reimbursement.

Standard Private Room and Bath:

Everyone participating in the TrueNorth Health Education program will be charged a fee of $139 per night. This fee covers the cost of staying at the Center in a standard private room (equipped with a twin size adjustable sleep number bed) and an adjacent private bathroom.  The fee includes all meals or fasting supervision,  participation in our health education program, staff support and amenities including bedding, towels, and personal laundry service.  We also provide private phone service and personal voicemail, free local and long-distance calling (within the USA) and high speed internet access via our WI-FI system.  Participants staying in a standard private room and bath have access to a shared living room that contains a 42-inch LCD television complete with Comcast cable and a DVD player.  There is also a living room shared by each of the two bedrooms that make up each suite.  To avoid sharing a common living room you would need to book an entire suite.

Deluxe Private Room and Bath:

We also have 14 larger deluxe rooms available.  These deluxe rooms are equipped with either a queen size dual chamber sleep number bed or two twin size sleep number beds.  The deluxe private rooms are larger than our standard rooms have a direct access private bathroom and most have their own 37 inch in-room LCD television with Comcast cable.  These deluxe rooms are available for the same fee of $139 a night (double occupancy) or $159 a night single occupancy. There is also a living room shared by each of the two bedrooms that make up each suite.  To avoid sharing a common living room you would need to book an entire suite.

Deluxe Suite:

For those wishing to book an entire suite (2 bedroom, 1 bathroom, living room, dining room and kitchen) the fee is $139 per person (double occupancy) or $229  a night single occupancy.  A 1050 sq foot, 2-bedroom, 2 bathroom suite is also available for $149 per person (double occupancy) or $249 a night single occupancy.

Groups of 3:

3 individuals coming together may choose to share a 2-bedroom 1- bathroom suite or if available a 2-bedroom 2-bathroom suite. The daily fee would be $139 per person per night.      

Participants who snore loudly must book a private suite.

Health insurance, including Medicare, does NOT reimburse fees for participating in our residential health education program. 

The following services are available from the adjacent TrueNorth Health Clinic:

Laboratory services, such as blood tests, are additional. Health insurance may reimburse some of the fees for laboratory tests.

Chiropractic treatment is available. The affiliated chiropractors utilize a variety of manipulative and physiotherapeutic procedures. The chiropractic treatment fee of $40-65 per visit may be reimbursed by health insurance that covers chiropractic care.

Psychotherapy is available from Doug Lisle, Ph.D.; Dr. Lisle charges $150 per one-hour session. Health insurance may reimburse the fee for psychotherapy.

Therapeutic massage is available for $65 per hour.

Spa services and individual fitness training and excursions may be available at additional cost from affiliated service providers.

Members of the International Union of Operating Engineers (Local 3) may be eligible for full coverage for the treatment of high blood pressure and diabetes.

Non-Refundable deposit:

All participants must pay for their anticipated stay when they arrive at the Center.  A final payment or refund will be calculated at the conclusion of your program. To make a reservation, a non-refundable deposit of $500 per person is required.  Although deposits are non-refundable, we will provide 100% credit towards a future stay if one week’s notice of cancellation is provided.  A credit of 50% will be provided if less than one week’s notice of cancellation is provided. No credit will be provided without 24 hour notice.

New Program Announcement
Escaping the Pleasure Trap 

We have a NEW program at TrueNorth Health (in addition to our regular program of water or juice fasting).  This new program is called Escaping the Pleasure Trap and is a one week program (Sunday to Sunday).  Many have requested a “less intense” experience than fasting when they need an escape but only have a week.  Here it is. Now is your chance to spend a week building health and losing weight while you learn to make and eat delicious healthy food, develop a fitness program you can live with and enjoy all of the features of the NEW TrueNorth Health Center located in Santa Rosa, CA.

The focus of this program is healthy eating and exercise and includes our extensive health education program. Amenities offered during this one-week program: Private room and private bathroom with private phone line and voice mail. (complimentary local and intra-US calling) Hi-speed internet through our WI-FI system

• Complimentary laundry service

• Twice daily health education program including live presentations by our doctors, cooking classes with our chef and the best DVD presentations available.

• An initial health assessment with one our staff doctors of chiropractic.

• An initial fitness assessment with the trainers at our affiliated gym, Paramount Fitness.

• A daily guided exercise class and complimentary use of the fitness center during the day.

• Gourmet vegan meals prepared by our chef, Ramses Bravo.

The introductory fee for this healthful living escape is $1,195 single occupancy in a standard private room or double occupancy in a deluxe private room. (A deluxe private room is available for $1,295 single occupancy.)

Private sessions with our medical doctor, psychologist or massage therapists are available at an additional charge.
